Family Portrait

On Saturday, 15th February, we did a family/maternity photoshoot with Pixoustory and I cannot thank them enough for the great shots. Our photographer, Alex and Josie whom are also close friends of ours are really professional and witty too. That explains the candid yet natural smiles in the photographs. You might not know but Abby is very cautious about strangers so having Alex and Josie on the location is a bonus. We finished the shoot within an hour, and are very pleased with the experience.

Abby is a gem during the shoot, she knows just where to look and is camera ready all the time! She does everything we asked her to do and more. I love her pair of twinkling eyes when she smiles. She is a natural in front of the camera and absolutely adorable in her poses.

I am already thinking of having another family shoot with our new baby. Meanwhile, I will let the photos do the talking, You may also watch the video that Josie put up for us here

Abby 2nd Birthday Recap

Brought her to McD for breakfast and she loves their hotcakes as she finished one whole piece!

Abby turned two on last Thursday and we had a very simple birthday celebration for her. As thing does not turns out as planned, we only get to sing her a birthday song and cut her cake the next day. Mummy feel bad about it but Abby doesn't seem to mind a bit....look how happy she was in the photos!

I got her a red velvet cake from Oritta Cakehouse and she absolutely loves it! The top tier was a actually a dummy made of sugar paste from Tweet Homemade. I thought a little girl deserves a cute birthday cake and Miffy the rabbit fits the bill perfectly :) xoxo

Abby is TWO!

Oh time, you passed us by so quickly that I wish I can pause you just for a little while! Exactly two years ago, I was in the hospital labor room waited to give birth to my little Abby. Today, she is turning two and I can't believe how fast my baby has grown into a toddler! We will have a simple celebration tonight and will share more photos soon. xoxo

To The Park We Go......

Aidan and Chloe came to visit us two weekends ago and we brought the kids to the park just nearby our house. This park that we went, I didn't even know it existed as it is fairly new and it is tucked away behind some expensive condominiums. I was pretty impressed as the place is equipped with hammock, fancy monkey bars and such that it look almost like a military camp. It isn't that suitable for kids like Abby's age but the older kids surely had fun.

Despite the impressive equipments, I will not consider of going there again....reason being is that there are a bunch of inconsiderate (idiot) people who rode their bikes (as in motorbikes) in the park and it is so dangerous when you have kids running (blindly) around. The whole time we were there, I kept a watchful eyes on Abby for fear of her safety. They should have put up a sign that says no motorbikes are allowed in the park. What were these people thinking?! Next time we shall go to a proper playground.

Birthday Celebration For Aidan

On last Saturday, Aidan (Abby's favorite cousin brother) turned 6 and we had a simple celebration at Morgan's Field. Ann, my sister-in-law baked him a double layered chocolate cake and decorated it with his favorite super heroes and cartoon characters. We sang him a birthday song and when it was time to cut the cake, Abby got very excited with the tiny marshmallows and the angry birds topper and kept asking for it. Mummy had no choice but to give in to her demand to prevent turning heads and glaring stares because she would yell on top of her lungs (yes, terrible two has officially started) and she was a happy camper. We ended the night bringing the kids to the mall arcade and they had loads of fun! xoxo

Hello 2014!

Yesterday we started our New Year's morning with breakfast at Coffee Bean. As always, Abby tried to steal food from our plates and make a mess on the table as well as on the floor. But still we enjoyed her company and judging by her smile, you can tell that she is having a great time there. Love this girl to bits!! xoxo

My Favorites of 2013

2013 has been a challenging year, nonetheless. There are lots of ups and downs, happy times and bad times.....but still, I am blessed to have a loving family and most of all blessed to be a mom. Abby showed me everyday what it takes to be a good mom and what patience is all about whenever she drives me up the wall. I am still learning though, to be a good mom to not one but two child of mine. I am so excited for the arrival of our baby no.2 and 2014 is going to be a great year for our family! xoxo

Blessed Christmas 2013

As much as I would like to update all my backdated post, it just won't make any sense if I keep missing the current ones. Knowing that she's turning two in the coming January, I don't want to miss documenting our everyday lives so I've decided to backdated my post up until Abby's first birthday.

And when I have the time, I will share some of the memorable moments of her first year but what matter most is NOW. Hope to share more of her milestones and the little things that she says or does. I know I will thank myself when I read this blog 10 years or 20 years later.

Sending warmest greetings and Merry Christmas! xoxo

Presents, Presents and More Presents

01/26/2013 - These were taken a day after her 1st birthday party and we let her opened up all the birthday present that she's received from family and friends. Well, she was not that fascinated with the presents but instead showed more interest in the wrapping paper...lol.

I love love this picture of us!

Abby's First Birthday

01/25/2013 - Abby turned 1st on 30th Jan but we held her party earlier at a local cafe called Small Potato. As you can see the theme was Minnie Mouse because I think that was the only cartoon character that Abby knew at that time. We had a buffet spread (by Small Potato) and a dessert table (done by me with the help of my friend, Yee Lin and my SIL, Ann). It was a fun night filled with laughter and our birthday girl enjoyed herself so much!

We specially ordered the minnie mouse cake for her and it weighed more than 2kg.
